This residential service comprises of four Children's Homes that offer a range of short breaks and long term residential care for disabled children aged between 5 and 18 years.

The service provides care for children with learning disabilities including Autism; they may also display challenging behaviour and have health conditions that need managing.

Our long-terms service offers a supportive environment where children can mature in to adulthood, whether it is moving on to independence or transitioning in to adult care.

Our short-term break service gives families a break from caring and children a caring environment which is fun and exciting to stay.

Working as part of a team, you will be accountable for the quality of day-to-day care; administration and organisation of the Children's Home.  You will assist staff in formulating Assessments, Placement Plans, Care Plans and Pathway Plans (where applicable) for each child or young person and formulate clear claims and objectives for each child/young person as necessary.

You must have effective communication and counselling skills, coupled with an understanding of the needs and rights of young people who are looked after; coupled with the ability to work shifts, including some weekends, as part of a rota to include public holidays.

As an Assistant Care Manager, you will be responsible for giving supervision to staff, auditing files and systems.  As part of the management function you will also be responsible for supporting the staff You will also al part of the management team; that support the staff team, thus enabling them to deliver safe and quality services that promote the welfare of children, young people and their families.
